ARE
YOU SURE YOU WANT A NEWFOUNDLAND?
I
MEAN, REALLY SURE!
Please
do not buy a puppy without researching the breed
first,
talking
to numerous breeders, Newf owners and making
sure a Newf is for you.
THEY
ARE A LOT OF WORK!
Just
for a sample of what's in store
I hope you love to vacuum, know how to fix them
and that you own a real good one.
And concerning DROOL, have you ever seen a DROOLACTITE?
That's what I call it when it's hanging from,............
yes the ceiling!
When they go swimming or get wet, which can
be almost anytime they see water or it rains.
Lets just say they are like a giant furry sponge
with four legs and a big tail!
Also bigger dogs are MORE EXPENSIVE when it
comes to medical expenses.
Not
to mention if you have them "Professionally
groomed".
Although
well worth the money because you do get what
you pay for!
You'll
more than likely end up trying to do it yourself,
Which
can be a lot of work if you neglect their maintenance.
And
if you groom them yourself you will probably
end up like us,
making
a grooming area just for them, which isn't cheap.
HAVING
SAID THAT ALL THAT!
If
you were to ask any Newf owner they, like us,
would more than likely say,
"Having a Newf in their life has been priceless!"
We understand that because we have had "shelter
dogs" to "pure bred dogs",
all of which were great dogs! We loved them
all and wouldn't have traded that for anything!
But
we can honestly say
"God
willing" we will always have at least one
Newf at our side!
And currently we are blessed with three!!
